Lead-Generation Tactics to Grow Your Wellness Coaching Business

Network, Network, Network
In short, tell everyone you can about your career as a wellness coach. You never know when you’ll meet someone who’s interested in your services – or knows someone who could be interested. There are so many opportunities to have these conversations, even beyond sharing the news with your immediate network of own family, friends, colleagues and current/past clients. Attending health-related events and tradeshows is an excellent way to connect with potential clients and other health coaches. One important detail, though: Always have your business card on hand so you can leave your contact info with the prospect.
Create an Online Presence
If you’re self-employed – or plan to be – it’s always a good idea to establish an online presence. Start with a branded website that details your services, expertise and point-of-difference, along with compelling messaging, such as testimonials, before-and-after photographs, and/or case studies. Your website should help potential clients learn more about you and persuade them to contact you.
After your website is up and running, expand your online presence to social media platforms (including LinkedIn), as well as Google and Yelp accounts so clients can review their experience working with you. A solid online presence makes it easier for people to find you in search results and, more importantly, to trust you as a credible wellness coach.
Goal-setting is a powerful tool that can push you toward a desired growth trajectory. We suggest starting with two of the most important basics: number of clients and income. For this year, how many clients do you need to achieve your desired gross income? How will that change five years from now? Determining these figures will motivate you to strategically source new clients and keep growing your business with specific goals in mind. By working toward a specific objective, you are setting yourself up for short- and long-term success.
