Build skills and credibility with a Certified Wellness Coach (CWC) designation – all while earning approved occupational therapy continuing education credits!
Wellness coaching pulls together the mind, body, and spirit and goes hand in hand with the core philosophies behind standard occupational therapy by improving overall quality of life and day-to-day functioning.
Incorporating meditation, nutrition, sensory work, yoga therapy, and more helps unblock a person from achieving their goals and broadens your OT reach.
By addressing stressors in other areas of patients’ lives, you will improve patient outcomes and open up new opportunities in your practice.
Our mentor coaches and instructors are board certified, practicing wellness coaches and bring a wealth of practical experience to the program. The examples we share are from real-world scenarios, not a textbook. We also heavily focus on the coaching skills themselves, like the essentials of behavior change and motivational interviewing, so that you leave with a strong foundation on how to coach.
The program is designed to be self-paced, so that you can fit the webinars and sessions into your schedule. For most people, it takes about three to four months to complete. Adding in the Master Certified Wellness Coach (MCWC) program extends the timeline to include nine weekly Zoom sessions and 10 additional webinars.
To become certified by the NBHWC, we have an additional MCWC program covering more in-depth topics relating to the Board exam. Our instructors are Board certified and participate in voluntary study groups where they can share their knowledge and experience to walk through scenario-based questions and provide helpful resources.
Yes. We have a six-month no-interest option available when you register.
The ONLY NBHWC-approved wellness coach certification to be approved nationally for occupational therapists and OTAs.
