This course dives into mindfulness and explores what it means to be mindful and how to share this with our clients. What are reasons to practice mindfulness and how is it tied to changing behavior? How can we explain mindfulness to our clients and what are some simple ideas for increasing mindfulness that we can share? How do we recognize when we are not being present during our coaching sessions - maybe we are steering the conversation, over-resonating with the topic, planning our next question, etc. This webinar is full of practical tips, suggested apps, recommended resources and even an example of how to guide a client through a mindfulness practice with a scripted breath and body meditation created by the instructor, Laura Henelund.

One of the privileges of wellness coaching is that our clients are sharing with us the reality of their lives. But sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and our clients are in the midst of a crisis situation. There are no right answers in regards to how to respond to every situation, however planning ahead for the unexpected will help us decrease our own anxiety and maximize our impact in walking with a client through a difficult time. Real life scenarios will be shared on topics such as the death of a loved one, recent medical diagnosis, divorce, job loss, alcoholism, infertility, etc. In addition, we will discuss behaviors and signs that might indicate depression, anxiety or suicidal thoughts. The emphasis will be on what is our role as a wellness coach, what is the best way we can help, setting appropriate boundaries, and processing difficult sessions for our own self-care. Suzanna is the Director of Coaching at US Corporate Wellness and the Co-Founder of the Catalyst Coaching Institute. She has a background in psychology, counseling and occupational health and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.

This program will provide you with a solid baseline of tips, tools and resources that you can utilize to help your clients improve their financial conditioning.  Obviously, as wellness coaches, we must never hold ourselves out as experts in the field of finance, and this course does not change that fact.  However, financial struggles are often at the top of our clients' lists in terms of stress-inducing factors in life.  This program will provide some ideas for discussion as well as a variety of resources you can reference.  This course will be taught by Brad Cooper, MSPT, MBA, CWC.  He is not an accountant... or an attorney...or a financial planner - and he doesn't play one on TV.  He's just a regular guy who's gleaned tips from parents, professors, various books and some good ol' fashion trial and error.
